Forums are Broken
0Forums have been around for some time now, and are really great resources for niche content and discussion. However for me, the User Interface has always seemed less than ideal. I suppose part of the problem is that forums are decidedly linear. You have to scan through titles which are often not named very well, then follow the thread all the way to the bottom (sometimes dozens or even hundreds of pages deep) only to find that this was not the topic you were looking for. At which point you have to start all over. Then there is the problem of posting on the wrong thread only to be called a noob. One site which seems to have a much better UI for there forums is Ravelry. Ravelry is a knitting and crocheting community.
I suggest that better tagging would add a lot to the UI/UX. If you could search by tags and add tags to your posts it might make it easier to find the content you are looking for.
